REFURBISH AUTHORIZATION
Placing a refurbishment order with us confirms your complete agreement, understanding, and acceptance of our terms and conditions, along with acceptance of the offered price.
You agree- when required- to provide payment details which are true, accurate, current and complete, and confirm that these details (e.g. bank, PayPal, credit card, etc.) are yours alone.
We will confirm receipt of your order by sending you an email summarizing the details of your order (“Order Confirmation E-mail”); this is the point at which we accept your order and the contract is formed.
Depending upon the agreed parcel/courier service chosen, deliveries may require a signature upon receipt.
Disk Depot Ltd. uses various delivery services. While we work with them in good faith, we cannot be held liable for their performance, or for any delay or failure in delivery, nor for any loss or disappointment caused by this.
If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Depending upon how much- if any- work has been done, it might or might not be possible to do this. You will still be responsible for return costs and any work already carried out.
If a parcel is visibly damaged on delivery, you must either clearly indicate this on the signing form or device, or if this is not possible you must reject the delivery. If a damaged parcel is signed as having been received in good condition, you are responsible for the damage and Disk Depot Ltd. will be unable to refund you for the delivery fees.
An online form should be completed for every order. We will not accept screens without a completed form. Any screens sent to us without a complete form will be returned to you at your cost.
Although we have no official minimum or maximum order levels, we do not accept batches of less than five screens unless agreed in advance (e.g. as a test or sample order). If fewer than five screens are received without prior agreement, we reserve the right to levy additional charges to cover our time.
Once your order is received we test the screens and generate a report. This gives a breakdown of the screen’s condition, including the color balance of the display and whether or not it’s in working order.
Any non-working screens that cannot be refurbished will be returned to the customer at the end of the process.
We can only refurbish screens where the touch and LCD are working.
We are only able to refurbish original screens (including previously-refurbished ones). We cannot refurbish non-original screens from third-party manufacturers.
Any screens with flex issues, lines or blocks on the screen, touch issues, dark patches, yellowing of the screen, etc. cannot be refurbished.
If you are not sure if a screen will be accepted for refurbishment please connect it to a phone and send us a picture. Please remember that we are refurbishing the screen, not replacing it.
Our job is to refurbish the screens you send us- if these screens have issues like (e.g.) a pinkish hue or color cast, dull or washed out displays or scratches or marks on the LCD (not polarizer) then we can still refurbish them- however, they will be sent back in the same condition (e.g. if the screen has a pink hue but cracked glass it will be returned with the pink hue but with the new glass fitted.)
Although great care is taken when refurbishing the screens and we have the skill, technical ability, experience and machines to do the best job possible it is inevitable some screens may be damaged during the process. Due to the unknown history of the screens, the amount of times they have been refurbished previously and the quality of the various types of screens in the first place (e.g. copy LCD/copy flex, OEM LCD/copy flex, OEM LCD/OEM flex, etc), it is impossible to guarantee a 100% success rate. However, we guarantee to return a minimum of 90% of the screens in the fully-refurbished condition. Any screens that develop issues during the process will be returned to the customer and you will not be charged for these screens.
You can specify which color of glass and frame you would like fitted. If, for example, you send us all black screens, we can refurbish these as a mixture of black and white. If no preference is specified we will return the refurbished screen to the same color as the broken glass.
Once you have completed the online form for refurbishment the current price will be recorded on the form. This price is quoted in GBP (i.e. UK Pounds Sterling) and is valid for 14 days to allow you sufficient time to get the order to us. If the order arrives more than 14 days later, then we reserve the right to change the price to the current price displayed on our website.
Return delivery will be charged at the appropriate rate. If you need to know what this is in advance, please contact us to confirm your details before sending off your screens.
We take payment for your order once the job has been completed by us. When your screens have been refurbished we will notify you of the total cost. Payment can be made by BACS, credit/debit card, Paypal or cash on collection.
Payment must be made before the goods are released.
If orders are not paid for within 28 days of them being ready we will recycle the screens to recover our parts.
Screens must be tested before fitting. We guarantee to give you back a working screen and any DOA screens will be exchanged within 7 days of receipt as long as the warranty sticker is intact and has not been fitted in a phone or tablet. If the returned LCD is cracked or the glass is broken it will not qualify for replacement.
After 7 days, or if the warranty sticker has been tampered with, we give a 6-month warranty on the parts we have fitted. If there is a problem with the parts we have fitted we will repair them. If the LCD you supplied for refurbishment has developed a problem (i.e. touch, lines, etc.), then we will refurbish another free of charge as long as you supply the replacement LCD. The replacement will be like for like (e.g. iPhone 5 for iPhone 5 or iPhone 6+ for iPhone 6+). If the returned LCD is cracked or the glass is broken, then it will not qualify for replacement.
We do not accept any liability for loss of business, loss of opportunity or loss of profits or for any other indirect or consequential loss or damage whatsoever.
Errors and Omissions Exempt.
Although we try to ensure that all prices on the website are accurate, errors can occur. We reserve the right to correct prices and/or cancel an offer where this happens; if so, we will notify you of this as soon as possible and give you the chance to accept or cancel the order at the new rate.
